Stripping away everything else until it was just color and shape, and limiting the composition to only a continuity of movement, I aspire to a direction of impermanence.
Rather than creating video material from scratch, I use programming to transform image and audio sampled with cameras and microphones, stripping away all traces of live action and sound.
Once the video is complete, I run it through a program that converts the video into MIDI data to generate sounds to accompany the video, and then use that data as a foothold to weave the sounds.
